CodexAnywhere

Last updated: February 26, 2026

Overview

CodexAnywhere is built for local-first remote coding. Commands execute on your own machine. We do not run a hosted command execution service.

Data We Handle

The iOS app stores machine pairing data and local session history needed for app functionality.

  • Machine connection details (for paired hosts)
  • Session metadata and cached transcript snippets on device
  • Push token registration data for wake notifications

How Data Is Used

Data is used only to provide the core product behavior: pairing machines, starting sessions, streaming output, and reconnecting reliably after app backgrounding.

Hosted Relay Scope

CodexAnywhere may use a minimal relay for push wake notifications. The relay is designed to avoid storing prompt/output content and only carries delivery metadata.

Third-Party Services

The app may rely on platform services such as Apple Push Notification service and your configured network stack (for example Tailscale). Their policies apply separately.
